Spelling Bee Winners
Third grader Gabriella Brushwood was the Geary Elementary School winner of the spelling bee held Thursday. She took first place in the 3rd grade and under division as well as the 4th and 5th grade competition. Gabby is shown with Auriana Brown, second place winner in the younger student category. Hesstin Pratt, 5th grade, was the runner-up winner in the school spelling bee. Hesstin will represent Geary Elementary School in the Regionals of the Scripps Howard Spelling Bee later this month. Students going on to Regionals must be in 4th grade or above. Alternate is Logan Castleberry.
