Tech Teacher Gets Taped Up as Part of Relay for Life Fundraiser
Technology Education teacher Robert Lindamood found himself in a sticky situation when he volunteered to be the victim of a school fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Lindamood agreed to let students and teachers tape him to the wall if they donated $1 for each piece of duct tape used to Relay for Life. Lindamood stood on a stool while students waited in line to cover his body (from the neck down) with tape. After over 120 pieces of tape were applied, the stool was kicked aside and Lindamood found himself stuck to the wall several inches above the floor. Threats were made to leave him there for the weekend, but Lindamood managed to quickly break free of his bonds. The "Tape up the Tech Teacher" project is among several school fundraisers for Relay for Life. Teachers have donated $10 for each week they wear jeans to school. Students and teachers are assessed $1 for each day they wear a hat.
