Geary Jr/Sr High Holds "Trash Off" Day
Streets and community areas will get a sprucing up Friday, April 19th, when student groups pick up litter and trash in Geary. Students will meet in their mentor groups at 8:30 a.m. to receive instructions on areas they will pick up trash. Teachers and students will be dismissed after that to go to their assigned areas for trash removal. Students are asked to wear old clothing and bring gloves to school with them. The school's "Trash Off" day is held in conjunction with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's "Trash Off" week, which encourages volunteerism to help keep Oklahoma clean and beautiful.
