Ready or not--the first day of the 2012-13 school year is rapidly approaching. August 16th is the first day of school for all Geary students. Enrollment will take place August 8th, 9th and 10th from 8:30-2:30 for all grade levels. All Pre-K and Kindergarten students must have a birth certificate, updated immunizations and be completely potty trained (no diapers or pull-ups) prior to enrollment.
On Aug. 13th, the Elementary School will have a "meet and greet" for families and teachers from 5-5:45 p.m. Parents may bring their child's school supplies on that night. At 6 p.m. the ice cream social for the community and school will begin at the Fieldhouse.
Continental Resources is donating the majority of school supplies needed by elementary students. However, students are still responsible for bringing a few needed items at the beginning of the school year.
All elementary students will need a pair of non-skid, non-marking shoes for physical education classes. Pre-K and Kindergarten students must have shoes with velcro fasteners. Shoes must be labeled with the student's name on the the tongue of each shoe. Shoes will be kept at school. Other supplies elementary students need to bring include:
1 pair of scissors
3 boxes of Kleenex
3 bottles of glue
6 glue sticks (except 4th grade which will need pencil top erasers instead)
Pre-K and Kindergarten students will need a Kindermat for rest time.
