Red Ribbon Week Oct. 27-31
Students and staff are encouraged to dress-up for Red Ribbon Week Oct. 27-31. The theme for each day is shown on the website image. The purpose of Red Ribbon Week is to promote drug, tobacco, and violence prevention and raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse. It is the largest and longest-running drug awareness and prevention program in the United States. The campaign began in 1985 to honor DEA special agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, who was killed while fighting drug traffickers.
