Band Ensembles Earn High Ratings at District Contest
Launch the media gallery 1 playerBand students competed in the District Solo and Ensemble Contest at Southwestern Oklahoma State University Saturday. The saxophone trio of Eduardo Sanchez, Kameron Kiener and Donald Spottedcorn played Handel's Hornpipe from Water Music and earned a Superior rating, the highest rating given. The saxophone trio is now eligible to compete in the State competition at OSU in April. The woodwind quartet with Abby Everly, Rachel Martinez-Garza, Kaleigha Pratt and Samuel Smith played an arrangement of Amazing Grace and received an Excellent rating.
