Oklahoma Promise Deadline Approaching
ATTENTION PARENTS of 8th, 9th or 10th grade students:
An important deadline is approaching to sign up for Oklahoma Promise, a program that will pay tuition for post secondary education in Oklahoma. The deadline to sign up is June of your student's 10th grade year. Students in 8th and 9th grades may also apply. Even if your child is not sure about going to college right now, the program is too good to miss out on as it will pay full tuition at any Oklahoma public college or university or a portion of the tuition at any accredited Oklahoma private college or university or public career tech center. Student must sign up by June 30 of their 10th grade year. After that time, students will miss out on the chance to ever sign up. To apply, the parents' federal adjusted gross income cannot exceed $55,000. Once accepted their income cannot go above $100,000.
How to sign up: Go online to www.okpromise.org and click on Apply Now. You can also call the high school at 405-884-5606 and request a paper application.
If you have any questions or need any help applying, please contact Mrs. Glasgow (405-361-2851 or email sglasgow@geary.k12.ok.us).
