TSA Students Place at State Contest
Launch the media gallery 1 playerNine students represented Geary, competing in 11 different contests at the State Technology Student Association contest in Norman April 10-12. State qualifiers were Connor Bernhardt, Aubrey Lawson, Emily Akridge, William Boon, Hunter Davidson, Emily Leyva, Keeley Hicks, Mesa Flippo, and Elliott Harrall. Qualifying for the state contest was a huge accomplishment for these students as they had to place at a mini-conference and at Regionals in order to compete at State. During the State meet, Geary students were among the top five placers in three different contests. Connor Bernhardt placed 4th in Career Prep and Emily Leyva placed 4th in Prepared Speech. Winning 4th in the Junior Solar Sprint were Mesa Flippo, Keeley Hicks, Emily Leyva, and Connor Bernhardt. This was the first time for all these students to compete at the State contest.
