NOUN WEBQUEST
Your Task
PART ONE Your original group will consist of two or three people. Your mission is to travel through the different communities of nouns. Download the Webquest Checklist. Place a check in the box next to each task you complete. When you are finished with your mission, you will complete a final project to share with the class about what you learned. You will discover that there are many different types of nouns and that nouns are easy to find in a sentence. PART TWO After you have completed your travels through the noun communities, your group will decide on how you want to show the class what you have learned about each of the nouns. You will present your project to the class. Keep in mind that your project should TEACH the other students about the different types of nouns. You may choose from the following: 1. Poster showing definitions and examples of the types of nouns. 2. Prezi that teaches about the types of nouns. (Keep in mind, you only have two class days to prepare!) 3. Short Story using at least two of each type of noun (must be at least one page double-spaced and words should be highlighted/labeled). 4. Skit about the different types of nouns will be performed in front of the class. You may combine with one other group if you would like. Let Ms. Charles know if you do! 5. Create a boardgame about nouns. (Or other kind of game like noun bingo.) 6. Homemade video (on your own time with your own resources) about the types of nouns. Must be at least 5 minutes long. You will plan your video during class time. 7. Create a quiz with an answer key. Be creative. Your quiz may be used for next year's students! 8. Create your own idea. It must be approved by Ms. Charles I know that you are up to the task! Good luck noun hunters!
