Bison Rally behind Teammate and Family
The football team, school district, and community showed their support for freshman tight end Keaton Akridge before the start of the Sept. 6 game against Corn Bible Academy. An Air Evac helicopter landed on the football field and delivered the game ball to Keaton, who was named honorary captain for the night. The ball was later signed by his teammates as a show of support for Keaton, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The Bison family extends their best wishes to Keaton as he begins chemotherapy. Those wanting to show their support for Keaton can purchase a T-shirt emblazoned with Keaton's uniform number and the hashtag #FightforKeaton. Cost is $20 for the black shirt with white and gold print. All profits will go to the Akridge family for medical expenses. Deadline to order is Sept. 26.
