Santa and his Elves Deliver Gifts to Elementary
Geary Elementary students and children at the Baby Bison Ranch received early Christmas presents when Santa and his trusty elves stopped by classrooms to deliver gifts. The elves, also known as Geary Technology and Engineering students, collected donations to purchase Christmas gifts for every student at the Elementary School and Baby Bison Ranch. Technology Student Association members shopped for the presents, wrapped them, and delivered the gifts to each classroom. Dressed in their elf finery, they visited classrooms where they read books and led students in Christmas songs. Santa then made his big entrance and presented gifts to students. Each student received a coloring book with a box of 48 crayons and a Barbie doll or little monster truck. The TSA service project was highlighted in a feature story on News 9 that aired Dec. 13 during the evening news. Reporter Steve Shaw was on hand to interview Technology teacher Cody McPherson and TSA students. Mr. McPherson and his students have already started planning for next year's delivery of presents and merry Christmas wishes to Elementary students.
