School Fund Raiser to Help Children with Leukemia
The Elementary and MS-HS have started a February fundraiser "Pennies for Patients" to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All of the money raised will go toward the medical costs of treating children with leukemia. The recipient of this year's fundraiser will be "Team Annie", a 4-year-old girl who was diagnosed with leukemia. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will handle distribution of the money. A competition will held between grade levels to collect the most pennies. Pennies count as positive points and other coins and currency count as negative points. Students can add nickels, dimes, quarters, dollar bills to the water jugs of other grades to take points away from them. The grade level with the most positive points will win the contest and receive a pizza and pop party at the end of the fundraiser. The office will count money and tally points at the end of the month.
